It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lukas' grandfather, Kenneth Bierema of Holland, Michigan. Ken died at home, surrounded by family, at the age of 69. He is survived by his wife Phyllis, daughters Laura (Lukas' mother) and Diane, and son Ken. We miss him terribly but are relieved that he is at peace. Ken's obituary can be found here.
One of Ken's final wishes was that donations in his memory be made to Lukas' Fund. His last trip out of Michigan was to attend last fall's wine tasting in support of Lukas' Fund, and he has always held the charity near and dear to his heart.
